The Hilo To Volcano Ultra Marathon and Relay is a 50k (31.1 miles) race that starts in Coconut Island in the small town of Hilo. Hilo is located on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii. The run follows Mamalahoa Hwy, climbing from sea level to the finish at Cooper Center in the sleepy town of Volcano Village at 4,000ft. The race attracts both serious runners and recreational runners looking to have a great time in a place like no other.
